WORKERS RIGHTS POLICY

Last Updated: January, 2025

Policy Applies to:

Maximum Content LLC
Houston, Texas
(Remote-First Organization)

1. Policy Purpose and Scope

Maximum Content LLC is committed to maintaining a professional, respectful, and legally compliant working environment for all individuals engaged by the company. As a Houston-based organization operating primarily in a remote and distributed work environment, the company recognizes that workers’ rights apply equally regardless of physical location.

This policy establishes the rights and protections afforded to employees, contractors, interns, and temporary workers of Maximum Content LLC and reflects our commitment to ethical business practices, equal opportunity, and compliance with all applicable federal and Texas laws.

2. Equal Employment Opportunity and Fair Treatment

Maximum Content LLC provides equal employment opportunities to all workers and applicants. Employment decisions are made based on qualifications, performance, and business needs, without discrimination based on race, color, national origin, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

This commitment applies across all stages of the employment relationship, including recruitment, hiring, compensation, training, promotion, performance management, and separation. In a remote environment, equal treatment also extends to access to information, tools, communication, and professional development opportunities.

3. Employment Relationship and Classification

All employment relationships with Maximum Content LLC are governed by applicable federal and Texas law. Employment is at-will, meaning that either the worker or the company may end the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice, except where otherwise required by law or written agreement.

Workers are classified appropriately as employees or independent contractors based on their role, responsibilities, and legal requirements. The company is committed to accurate classification and transparent communication regarding employment status and expectations.

4. Compensation, Wages, and Pay Practices

Maximum Content LLC ensures that all workers are compensated fairly and in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws. Employees are paid accurately and on time, with clear communication regarding salary, hourly rates, commissions, or project-based compensation where applicable.

Non-exempt employees are compensated for overtime in accordance with federal law. Workers have the right to understand how their pay is calculated and to discuss compensation matters without fear of retaliation. Remote work does not alter or diminish any wage or compensation rights.

5. Working Time and Availability in a Remote Environment

As a remote-first organization, Maximum Content LLC recognizes the importance of flexibility while maintaining accountability and professionalism. Working hours, availability expectations, and deliverables are defined by role and communicated clearly by management.

Workers are entitled to reasonable boundaries between work and personal time, and the company encourages healthy work practices in a remote setting. Expectations around availability, responsiveness, and time tracking are applied fairly and consistently.

6. Safe and Healthy Remote Work Environment

Maximum Content LLC is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment, including for employees working from home or other remote locations. While the company does not control home workspaces, workers have the right to perform their duties without undue risk to their health or safety.

The company encourages workers to maintain ergonomic, safe, and appropriate work environments and to report work-related injuries or safety concerns promptly. No worker will face retaliation for raising safety or health-related concerns.

7. Respectful and Harassment-Free Workplace

Maximum Content LLC maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment, discrimination, bullying, or abusive behavior. This standard applies equally to remote and digital interactions, including email, messaging platforms, video calls, and collaborative tools.

All workers have the right to a professional environment free from harassment or intimidation. Any form of inappropriate conduct—whether verbal, visual, written, or behavioral—will be addressed promptly and seriously.

8. Protection Against Retaliation

The company strictly prohibits retaliation against any worker who, in good faith, reports concerns, participates in an investigation, exercises legal rights, or raises questions related to workplace practices or compliance.

Retaliation undermines trust and will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contractual relationships.

9. Privacy, Confidentiality, and Data Protection

Workers have the right to reasonable privacy and to the responsible handling of personal and employment-related information. Maximum Content LLC safeguards employee data and limits access to those with a legitimate business need.

In a remote work context, workers are expected to protect company, client, and partner information by using secure systems, safeguarding credentials, and adhering to data protection policies. Confidentiality obligations apply regardless of work location.

10. Leave, Time Off, and Protected Absences

Maximum Content LLC complies with all applicable laws regarding legally protected leave, including jury duty, military service, and family or medical leave where applicable. Additional company-specific time-off policies are communicated separately and applied consistently.

Remote work does not limit or reduce a worker’s entitlement to legally protected leave.

11. Reasonable Accommodations

The company provides reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities, pregnancy-related conditions, or religious practices, in accordance with applicable law. Accommodation requests are handled confidentially and assessed in good faith, including in remote work arrangements.

12. Rights to Raise Concerns and Report Issues

Workers are encouraged to raise concerns regarding wages, working conditions, safety, discrimination, harassment, or ethical issues without fear of retaliation. Reports may be made to management or designated company contacts and will be addressed promptly and professionally.

13. Policy Enforcement and Accountability

All workers are expected to comply with this policy. Violations may result in corrective or disciplinary action, including termination of employment or contracts, depending on the nature and severity of the issue.

Management is responsible for upholding this policy and ensuring it is applied fairly, consistently, and lawfully.

14. Policy Review and Updates

This Workers’ Rights Policy is reviewed periodically to ensure ongoing compliance with legal requirements and alignment with the company’s remote-first operating model. Maximum Ventures LLC reserves the right to amend this policy as needed.
